Who We Are

Who We Are

At Salon de Luxe, we believe in transparency, education, and options. We want to give our team and guests the ability to question the standards set forth by the beauty cosmetic industry. Most of the ingredients in our everyday hair and body cosmetics contain ingredients like plastic, petrochemicals, and phalates, or have been labeled to lead you to believe they are safe. Therefore, there's great need to elevate the standards of what we used on ourselves, and our clients, so we searched until we found products that aligned with our mission of clean with naturally-derived and nourishing ingredients, and found options for guests who want to color their hair with minimal risk. It has been our mission to ensure every guest that wants alternatives is happy with their newfound safer and cleaner regimen. Not only have we found safer alternatives to traditional salon services and products, we’ve also found ways to reduce the waste generated in our salon. We recycle the usual recyclable items, and clean hair clippings and by doing so we’ve reduced our waste by 95%. We can excel in our craft all while being environmentally friendly, and we’re here to prove it.

"We're not an organic salon, we're a conscious salon."

Salon de Luxe opened their first salon of many in Romeoville this February 2019. This has been a dream of the owner's since she entered cosmetology in 2007- to be a salon owner who actually values the company's team and guests.

Behind the Color Bar

Our hair color, lightener, and vivids are ammonia and fume free-making our air safer to breathe during your appointment.

All lighting is LED, which is 6-7 times more energy efficient than traditional bulbs.

We use products that contain recyclable, reusable or biodegradable packaging.

95% of our waste is recycled or re-purposed- this includes hair, foils, gloves, cling wrap, hair color waste and more!

We have partnered with  Children with Hair Loss, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss.  When a child's hair is lost due to Cancer treatments, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, Burns, etc., the painful effects are far deeper than just cosmetic.  Each year, the number of children requesting these hair replacements increases and with your support, we can continue to increase the number of children we are able to help in the future!
